| The Great East African Rift Valley The Rift Valley is a trench of approximately 6000 km (3700 miles) length which runs all the way along East Africa from Syria to central Mozambique. The area is generally considered to be “the cradle of mankind”. Our early ancestors have settled these grounds several million years ago before they started to migrate all around our planet.
